Hi Roger,

Well, just outside actually. If you like you can see this UNESCO World Heritage site and Borobudur the same day as they are not so far away. They were both constructed roughly 1,200 years ago with Prambanan as a Hindu Temple and Borobudur as Buddhist. Both are magnificient!

thanks Ted. I have been to Borobudur twice and yet none of my hosts had mentioned Prambanan,or it may due to my failing memory that i can' recall any references to this superb edifice

Unfortunately, it was badly damaged in an earthquake in 2006, so they are doing restoration work on it to repair the damage.

Hey Caloy,

It is well worth the trip. You certainly won't regret it! There are a lot of other small temples and ruins about as well, which are nice to see even if they aren't UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Borobudur and Prambanan.

Thanks. We visited Borobudur and Prambanan on August 25, 2008. We visited Prambanan in the afternoon maybe around 2pm. Take care.

I been there last year, the templer is close. We only can stand at outside take pic.
The security people was offer us give them some under table money, bring us go inside.
End up we din't do that.....

Hopefullycan go there again, bcz a fews templer around there don't have time to visit.
